Jeff Presley Bio:

I grew up in Inglewood Ontario, a small farm town, surrounded by dairy cattle and horses. I was within a short bike ride to Canada’s biggest horse
breeding farm, owned by Charlie Armstrong and Connie Smythe (owner of Northern Dancer). And yes, I mucked a lot of stalls. I joined the RCMP, in 1981, and was transferred to Alberta in 1982. I was hoping to work around farmers and country folk, instead had to learn about oil, oil workers and
Friday night bar fights. I then transferred to Red Earth Creek an isolation post in the north part of Alberta, where I got involved in helping out with the horse races with the indigenous settlements. In 1985 I transferred to Fort Saskatchewan, where I finally got to work with farmers again and found what I consider my hometown. I again got involved with horses and drew some images for the Alberta Arab magazine. We were also close to my in-laws cattle farm, where we had up to six horses to keep exercised. Most of my RCMP career was plain clothes work, where I was l posted to Auto Theft and Major Crimes. In 2008, I finished up in Project Kare, Serial Killer task force and joined the Sherriff’s. After one year I was offered a position in Alberta Agriculture as an inspector. Our responsibility revolves mainly in the dairy industry and cervid farming. We also have duties related to wild boar and rat control. I am fortunate to work with agriculture industry producers, as well as a great inspection crew throughout Alberta. I am currently posted in Edmonton at CDC North farm.

Hope to see you there!
